01. The picture taken by Kuo Chien was marvelous. He even took a picture of me yawning under setting sun.
It wasn’t really easy. There was a cold current that day,so even I rode all the way from National Chiao Tung University to Xinpu,
I didn’t take off my jacket.Perhaps it was the high atmospheric pressure that made the sky in the picture so deep blue and the sunlights so dazzling.
It seemed that the UV level was extremely high, just like that in the plateau.Even the rice fields in front of you,
you’ll mistake them for highland barley fields.

02. This picture was even more obvious. The weather was so good that the skies were blue and clear.
The black wires and the blue sky made a vivid contrast. What was rare is that only this part of the wires on Rd.Yang Hsin stood these sparrows.
It seemed that these sparrows ran into the rarely-visiting bike-riders,so they struggled for being photographed.
Therefore, when we rode away from here, they just disappeared with no reason.
Because of the sun shining on their bodies and their standing on the wires,
the picture seemed to be like whole notes on sheet music at the first glance.

03. Finally, we made a pioneering work- the chain of my bike came off from the chainwheel.
This photo absolutely had no narration value, purely deserved to be preserved.
It only remained several hundreds of meters to Shuang Shi farm, but we got into this kind of trouble.
I think the trouble we faced wouldn’t be less than the other group.

04. There are a few of wells in Jiuqionghu here.Although the source of the well water is groundwater, the water is clean and pure.
The design of the well is so special that a pair of half-moon shape flagstones is used as a mouth of the well .
The depth of the well is thirteen meters,so I have to keep an eye on the DV in my hand.
There is a set of pulleys over the well in order to make visitors get the water easily.

05. Mr.Ju Sung Shiu received us with passion when seeing us riding bikes all the way to here and he led us to the hillside behind the farm to pick pomeloes.
He received us so passionately that we couldn’t refuse any kindnesses he showed us.
I think all Hakka people have this characteristic.
In fact, the hillsides behind the farm have seldom been open to tourists recently,
because if you don’t follow the Government’s regulations to run the business, you’ll be fined. However,
the development way regulated by the Government will limit the development of the farm.
Therefore, Mr. Ju doesn’t make large-scale development,he only makes use of the hillsides near the houses to plant pomeloes and other fruits.

06. The only resources on the hillsides that can be widely used are bamboos.
There are bamboos everywhere near Ji Yue trail in Shuang Shi farm.
Owing to its large-scale resources ,bamboos are used to be the materials of toys.
You can also learn how to make Piggy Bank with bamboos.
This is one of the common characteristics of places in Jiuqionghu as long as bamboos grow there and you can also learn how to make bamboo toys.
I think perhaps Shuang Shi farm can use clean well water to develop the D.I.Y. of bamboo kettles.
At least the making of the bamboo kettles are the things I never experienced.

07. In the afternoon that day ,there was a 40-people tour group coming to Shuang Shi farm .
The boss was busy preparing for the work in advance at noon.He used the ropes to connect the the bucket through the hooks .
The center of gravity of the object is near the hooks in order to prevent from getting no water from the well no matter how hard you try .
There is a thing that its density is higher than well water and it can be shaked so that we can get the water.

08. By using pulleys, I can easily lift up a bucket of water that I can’t when usual. On the contrary,
you can’t loosen your grip when lifting up the bucket or. There is a wood tablet with a slang” always be grateful to the ones who gave.” written on over the well.
Just want to remind every tourist to follow the principle that not to waste anyprecious resource when using water.

09. There is a place for making things with bamboos and woods under the bamboo hood.
In ordinary time, tourists can cut bamboos and woods here. Today, because we didn’t make a reservation and there would be people coming soon ,
we couldn’t fully experience the joy of D.I.Y. We only could brush the table with big brushes and blow the sawdust boringly.
When we got to one place, A Tou always forgot to take off his helmet.
Therefore, he just wore the helmet while playing and didn’t notice about it.

10. Do you still remember the Liu family stewed chickens we mentioned last time? Certainly,
we must have a meal when passing here this time. Otherwise, we didn’t know when will be the next time.
I had a few thoughts about the meal this time and that was we had better not have the stewed chicken just by three people,
because you’ll get tiredof eating stewed chickens. Owing to the big size of the chickens,
it’s more delicious to order more cuisines not just stewed chickens,
and the servings of food are just the proper amounts for lots of people.
We were afraid that we couldn’t finish eating all the food,
so we just ordered stewed chickens and a plate of cabbage. At first, it tasted quite delicious but in the end,
we found that the braised chicken was too big for us to have it all.
After a long period of time , we finally had it all with plastic gloves.

11. Shiou Chi Shiau Jan is a sight that isn’t easily to be found, because the actual location doesn’t fit the place indicated by the address.
We spent lots of time riding on the off-road sections and rushed on a bumpy trail at last to find out the place.
Just as the picture shown, we even rode to the wrong way on a stony path for several times.
I think the tires must be rubbed.

12. Hawthorn konjac is a hot item inhiou Chi Shiau Jan i. You can find out how delicious it is from Chiou Ping’s facial expressions.
That’s right. You can’t feel anything from her because it’s hard for a normal person to look any different from her face when you have hawthorn konjac in winter.
hawthorns is used to reduce heart burns, and we don’t need to reduce heart burns in winter,
so it was certain that Chiou Ping didn’t have any facial expressions.
We can know from the first picture in which A-Tou didn’t take off his jacket even riding the bike under the sun for so long,
so it’s sure that you wouldn’t have any feelings when having it.
Unless the Liu family stewed chicken shop provides hawthorns in order to not get so greasy, it will help a lot.

13. Shiou Chi Shiau Jan is located on the trail of the owner’s wife’s parents’ house.
There are varieties of plants around the trail. Besides hawthorns, moringas are everywhere around here.
Because Shiou Chi Shiau Jan sells many kinds of tea good for health, moringas which have high nutrition value become indispensable ingredients.
Because moringas can be made into the most kinds of tea ,this provides the owner the diversity of his products.
The drinks made by moringas have different benefits for human according to different processing way.
Therefore, it can be said that moringas become the most important source of income for the people here.

14. It’s really comfortable to sit on these two patio chairs.
Especially under the sun in winter in the orchard, you’ll feel so comfortable that you don’t want to move and to think about anything.
You’ll think that the world is just as big as the orchard.
You don’t want to go to anywhere and just want to stay here.
This orchard is the one with different kinds of plants like hawthorns, pears, tangerines ,oranges and moringas.
This orchard is another characteristic of the Shiou Chi Shiau Jan.
Not only the diversity of the plants, the ways to run business are also full of diversity.
I think that’s why it is so attractive here.

15. One of the trails in the orchard is surrounded by oranges and tankans.
The most special is the building behind it. The outer layer is straw and it is weathered with muds, so it is very firm.
It seems that the approach to do so is due to the convenience of making use of local resources, and it’s just like the clay wall in Xinwawu.

16. It’s hard to imagine that hawthorns can grow with pears by using the same roots.
This show that how well-experienced the seniors are.
From the process of grafting, the owner found that hawthorns are crops with extremely low costs.
Therefore, he changed the way to run the business of the orchard.
He chose hawthorns to be the theme of the orchard instead of pears, and this makes the owner expand his business to another markets.

17. It was really easy to fall asleep in the orchard. Perhaps it was because I rode a few miles.
It seemed that the feeling of tiredness was getting intenser and intenser.
There were lots of drinks ordered on the table. In the plate was hawthorn tea.
It was probably because I drank it that there was a feeling of reducing heart burns and body purifying.
Thus, I fell asleep unconsciously after drinking it.
There were many small bugs flying in the bushes behind me,and because they kept flying to my neck, I didn’t sleep very well.
I just killed the bugs while sleeping.

18. He packed the pomeloes to us on the bike and then we rode back to National Chiao Tung University.
Mr.Ju, thanks for your enthusiastic reception and your hard work all day.
Take a picture with as then you can go to take a rest. Thanks a lot!

19. This picture doesn’t need to be mentioned. It was my second time to have the chain of my bike come off from the chainwheel.
I have never thought of it to happen again.
At that moment, I just felt that my life was very different from others, especially when I’m in bad luck,I am unluckier than others.
I need to get rid of all the bad luck before the end of 2009 and greet 2010 with good luck.
